RESEARCH METHODS
Survey Research
QSA conducts telephone interviews and Internet surveys using industry
best practices and the latest technologies. We have surveyed a wide range of
populations, including such hard-to-reach groups as Fortune CEOs,
Congressional aides and committee staff directors, Presidential appointees,
municipal officials, information technology executives, physicians, wealthy
individuals and persons at risk for AIDS. We conduct surveys in both English
and Spanish in the United States, and conduct international surveys in
multiple languages.
QSA studies are trusted. More than a score of QSA surveys have been used as
evidence in litigation, and QSA has conducted highly visible studies of
readership and other media use among leaders in the federal government for
leading media. This trust stems from:
• Rigorous quality control – in
sampling, questionnaire design, interviewing, data processing, data analysis
and reporting.
• High ethical standards – As a
CASRO member, we subscribe to the Code of Standards for Survey Research
established by the Council of American Survey Research Organizations.
• Mastery of the art, as well as the
science, of survey research.
Qualitative Research
QSA offers insightful depth interviews and both in-person and online focus
groups that probe sensitive or complex topics and go beyond surface responses
to understand underlying issues and motivations. Our primary moderator is QSA
President Rebecca C. Quarles, PhD. She has special expertise conducting focus
groups among executives, professionals, seniors and affluent individuals on a
wide variety of topics, and she is experienced in the use of role playing and
projective techniques.
QSA also offers conjoint analysis, focus groups
that provide a quantitative, objective measure of the priorities and
preferences of individual respondents, avoiding the bias that often results
from group dynamics.
